Nantachie III

after purchasing a serene water front property on lake nantachie in rural louisiana, the clients for this project began to envision a home that captured the views of this site, while blending in to its rural landscape. upon seeing the construction of camp nantachie, sited on the same lakefront, the clients approached bild with their vision for their own lakefront home.

the scheme is made up of low masses that reflect the gentle landscape of its surroundings without impediing on the magnificent views of the lake beyond. the layout scheme contains a small pool and patio carved into the landscape to create a gentle transition between interior and exterior space, to reflect the cultural importance of outdoor living particular to rural louisiana.
